SOLD!

Ray’s Happy Birthday Bar is just the latest in paintings to have sold. In fact, I sold nine paintings and one sculpture in the past three months. That is in addition to the exterior mosaic mural installation this summer. it feels good to begin getting my bills paid and out of the way.

I have a promise from a buyer to purchase one that is still on the easel, and with the enthusiasm that is accompanying my book, I am now looking forward to painting another 20 bar series for another book.

“Ray’s” was purchased by a friend that used to live in that south Philly neighborhood and knew the bar well.

For the next book I might focus on the bars of Key West. I have a ton of photos from various prior trips, and I think the book would have a more universal appeal.  And then there is New Orleans.

Next Wednesday I go to Philly and take down the exhibit at Smile Gallery. After I get the paintings back here, I may begin a painting a week sale such as Liz is doing. She is having success with listing a new painting every week on her blog at a reduced price.
