Lost Star Trek Episode

This is too cool! Star Trek fans have long known there were two pilots for the original series, the one with Captain Pike, and the one with Kirk. A blogger is claiming this is an alternative pilot.

Look for it be released on DVD/Blue Ray this December.

I found this on YouTube. It is a series of clips from that version, apparently purchased by a fan in Germany.

Note the different opening monologue, the cheesy opening theme music.

While this version has been available for a while to hard core Trekkies on the black market, this is the first time it has been officially released to the public.
