3rd Friday Art Walk - December 19, 2008
Happy Holidays!

3rd Fridays - something is happeningin MillvilleWhat is the 3rd Friday Art Walk? On the 3rd Friday of every month the galleries in Millville, NJ remain open late into the evening. New exhibits open, the artists are available to talk about their work. Art exhibitions feature work by established artists as well as up-and-coming local talent. The bars and restaurants feature live music. Visitors come from miles to the Arts District that has rejuvenated this little town located halfway between Philadelphia and Atlantic City.

Millville’s “Glasstown” Arts District was named one of “Ten Best Towns for Working Artists” by Art Calendar Magazine (March 2008). The rejuvenated, 12-block area features uniquely revitalized 19th century commercial buildings and homes that have been transformed into picturesque art galleries, working-artist studios, boutiques, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Millville is conveniently located halfway between Philadelphia and Cape May. The downtown district is only three miles from the recently opened New Jersey Motorsports Park.

All nutcrackers have been hand-embellished with “tender loving care” by Hares who repairs and paints them as necessary and then adds interesting buttons, fabric, vintage millinery flowers or maybe just a bit of jewelry “bling” to create her one-of-a-kind pieces. The special holiday collection includes a humorous “nutquacker” that looks like a soldier duck and a stately king and queen nutcracker pair.
